Previously performing at the Theatre in their sell out Remembering John Denver Show, award winning singer/songwriters Wes Cardy and Jan Mellon are back to present an evening of country, nostalgia and sing along - not forgetting a few of their own well loved compositions.
Wes’s beautiful ballad, SPECIAL ABSENT FRIENDS has over the years won numerous accolades and awards. A number of artists have recorded this work, not least Daniel O’Donnell and Ken Dodd both of whom recognised its potential some years back. (Ken Dodd has for many years been closing his theatre shows around the UK with this song).
In addition to their combined talents as songwriters, the sound of Cardy & Coke has become unique and distinctive over the years with individual backings enhanced by the sound of Jan’s mandolin plus strong vocals and harmonies.
Equally at home in a small club, on a festival stage or theatre, their experience reveals itself in their stagecraft - they take pride in their visual presentation and the emphasis is on Entertainment with a capital ‘E’!

Wes and Jan have eclectic tastes in music from Bluegrass to Cajun, Western swing to Irish folk as well as the classics from the 50s and 60s. One thing is certain, just as no two audiences are the same, they never stick to the same set two nights on the trot and often plans made in advance shoot off at tangents as the evening develops!
