The band, based In Rayleigh, was formed in 1970. It has been performing as The Melvin Beddow Big Band since 1991, under the direction of Steve Robinson.
The band and it's singers perform from an extensive repertoire which includes numbers made famous by the great swing bands of Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Ted Heath and many more, right through to the present time.
Expect an evening of “Big Band” swing and vocals together with a little Latin and perhaps, something funky!
