Your Visit: FAQ’s

You can book online via TicketSource. You can opt to have your tickets emailed to you or collect them on the door.  Check out What’s On to see the latest shows on sale.

Our Box Office is staffed by volunteers from Monday to Friday between 1pm and 5pm.

You can also call into our Box Office via our Stage Door to book tickets in person from Monday to Friday between 1pm and 5pm.  We accept both cash and card payments.

See our Booking Information page for more details.

As an independent charity, we rely heavily on a core team of volunteers both backstage and front of house to keep Brentwood Theatre operational. To find our more, please check out our Volunteering page.

Our Spotlight Bar is usually open 60 minutes before the show start.  We recommend aiming to arrive 30 minutes before the show starts to allow enough time to collect your tickets, order a drink and take your seats.

The car park adjacent to the Theatre is not owned by us, and spaces are rented to local businesses. There are some metered parking spaces in Sawyers Hall Lane as well as pay-and-display car parks close by. For more details on parking please click here

There are two spaces for blue badge holders in the car park adjacent to Brentwood Theatre, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Both Brentwood and Shenfield stations are approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the Theatre. Taxis are usually available at both stations.

Brentwood Theatre operates a strict no latecomers or re-admittance policy for most shows. Access to both spaces requires crossing the stage, so this policy is for the benefit of both our performers and other audience members.  Our shows are carried by live relay into The Spotlight Bar from where you may watch the show until a suitable interval allows our Front of House team to guide you to your seat.

We accept most major credit and debit cards, contactless and cash.

Under 16s must have an adult present while in the bar.  All under 14s must have an adult accompanying them while in the Theatre.

If you leave the auditorium during a performance you will have to cross the stage and may not be allowed to return to your seat until an appropriate moment.

You can collect pre-booked tickets on arrival at the front desk in the Foyer.  You can also buy any remaining seats here.

We encourage all shows here to offer a concession prince, though the final decision is theirs.   Please check individual shows for concession rates when booking.  Concession prices usually apply to:

  • Senior Citizen 65 and over
  • Registered disabled and their carer
  • Children 16 and under
  • Babes in arms

You may be asked for ID proof of eligibility when collecting or using concession tickets.

The Theatre is fully accessible to disabled patrons, although there may be a limit for certain shows for operational reasons.  Full details can be found on our Accessibility page.

We are unable to refund tickets once they have been purchased.  If you wish to exchange for another date of the same production, please call our Box Office and we try to assist where possible.

You will receive a booking confirmation shortly after you have booked your tickets.  Please note that booking confirmations are sent from Ticketsource and not from Brentwood Theatre.   If you have not received it within an hour, please check your Junk Email.  If it is still missing, please contact our box office on 01277 200305 and we can resend the confirmation.

You can collect your tickets by calling into our Box Office weekdays between 1pm and 5pm.  Alternatively, tickets can be left for you to collect from the door on the evening of the performance, usually available one hour before the start time.

As part of our licensing requirements and safety protocol, we require one ticket per person including babies in arms.  Please note that booster seats and carry cots etc may NOT be used within the auditoriums.

Use of recording or photographic equipment often violates the performance licence for published shows as well as being very distracting for both performers and other audience members.  As such, recording, filming or photographing is not allowed with either space during any performance.  Thank you for respecting this.
